Welcome!   I’m an Amherst, Massachusetts based photographer/birder. As of 2026 I’ve photographed over well over 300 species of birds in New England and over 400 species in the US. In my photography I try to capture the incredible detail and beauty of birds. When my subject bird, and its habitat and the available light all harmonize, it’s still a thrill to press the shutter! The images on this site represent many of those moments.   There are a lot of bird images out there these days so I am always on the lookout for the most idyllic settings and most interesting poses/behaviors I can find birds in.  In taking my prints out on the road to festivals and art fairs, it’s been great meeting and sharing my images with so many bird and nature lovers around New England.
